Truffles, need I say more? These decadent, melt in your mouth dark chocolate truffles are so delicious! There easier to make than you may think.
Just a few ingredients a little love, and you have a special dessert ready to impress.
Yield: For this I used a 1 tablespoon size scoop and made 22 truffles.
1/4 cup almond, cashew, or hazelnut milk
2 cups dark chocolate chips
1/3 cup coconut oil
for your garnish; 1/3 cup cocoa powder, crushed walnuts, or unsweetened coconut flakes
Line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper.
In a double boiler, heat the milk until stirring constantly.
Add in the coconut oil, and chocolate chips. Stir until chocolate is melted and everything is well combined.
Carefully pour the melted chocolate on one of the parchment lined sheet pan and set in the freezer to cool. 1-2 hours or until solid and completely cool.
For your garnish: place into a medium bowl.
Once chocolate is cooled use a small scoop to form balls out of the chocolate and set the balls on the other parchment lined sheet pan.
Once the balls are all formed take one at a time and roll in the bowl with your garnish and keep refrigerated.
