Barbecue Shredded Chicken

I love slow cooker recipes, and this is perfect for gatherings with friends in the summertime.  With just 5 ingredients, and little prep, you’ll have a wonderful meal ready in just a few hours.

Yield: 6 servings


3 chicken breasts; thawed

16 ounces of barbecue sauce (any kind you like)

1/3 cup of Italian dressing

2 tbsp. packed brown sugar

1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce


In a medium bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, Worcestershire, brown sugar, and Italian dressing. Mix well and add into the slow cooker. Add in the chicken and stir well so the chicken is well coated with the sauce. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours; or until the internal temperature reaches 165* F.   Shred the chicken, mix well with the sauce, and serve.
